Thanks again Brenda for all you have done for us. That money came at a time when we needed it badly and you know why.

Brenda,
You are my Super Hero!!! I am so glad my sister put me in contact with you. I had never heard of the DTC tax credit. Not from health care workers or accountants. I had no idea or knowledge of this. I received approval and my DTC cheque within a month. I have to say I was very shocked and surprised by how large the payment was.
Brenda, I have to thank you for being so knowledgeable, hardworking, kind and the dedication you provided. I appreciated how you kept me updated and how easy the processes was from start to finish.
I have been telling everyone I meet all about my wonderful experience working with you and what you have done for me.
Thank you so much for being You!!!!!
Vicki, in a word ‘serendipity’. Of all the people, I interact with your sister regarding my med alert. She was texting you before I left the store. I hope you are able to do the Alaska cruise you told me about.
Vicki - 53 yrs. old Maple, ONWe cannot speak highly enough of the work Brenda did for us regarding our Disability Tax Credit and other benefits! Her professionalism, enthusiasm and thoroughness was unprecedented as she guided us through the process, making what would have been so complicated on our own, supremely simple. My husband and daughter both live with Type One diabetes and no amount of money can ever change the difficult realities of that truth. But to have the lump sum of money from our return to help aid in some of the expenses surrounding the disease and to use some of it for family trips and maybe a couple of shopping sprees 😉 …it’s priceless! We highly recommend Brenda if you are interested in beginning this process!
Anna & JM, the picture you sent of the little one holding the cheque is my kind of priceless. I’m glad this worked out for you two.
Anna, John - 32 yrs. and Ella - 3 yrs. old Niagara on the LakeBrenda was a true *super-hero* in my quest to have the government recognize my son’s disability status dating back to his year of diagnosis in 2007. Not only was she highly knowledgeable, she understood the physical and emotional challenges associated with life as a diabetic. She has lived with diabetes for many years herself.
The very long process, beginning in early 2017, had several hurdles. The complexities of my file were huge, given that I was claiming retroactive DTC, CDB and Care Giver for multiple years. And further complicated by a divorce in the midst of the claiming years! There was never a moment when I felt that she would not be successful. She was tenacious! A stickler for detail and clearly passionate!
These qualities led my claim to the highest level of success. My son’s disability was recognized retroactively to 2007 and forward to 2022. This, translating into tens of thousands of dollars for unclaimed DTC, CDB and Care Giver benefits. As well, I am now in the process of reclaiming missed investment years of RDSP that will be so important for my son in the future.
I would give the highest possible recommendation to Brenda McCormick of CRM Blue and the incredible services and advocacy that she provides to the diabetic community.
Ron, your situation was the most complicated one I’ve worked on. If there was a roadblock, they threw it at us. I learned so much during the process so thank YOU.
Ron - father of T1D son Dundas, ONMelvin has been a diabetic since he was seventeen years old. So around 35 years. He has spent many hours per day taking care of diabetes and many dollars for insulin and supplies. On Melvin’s regular eye check up, his Optometrist in Saskatoon, SK gave him a business card for a lady who helps diabetics get refunds from Revenue Canada.
We had never heard of this before. So we thought, “what do we have to lose”? Either we don’t get anything or we get something. We called Brenda and she explained what she does and what we could expect. We sent her the initial fee and she went to work. She sent us information to complete as well as forms for Melvin’s family doctor to complete and she submitted them to Revenue Canada. This process took a number of months. Several times we got letters from Revenue Canada stating we missed something or we needed the family doctor to resubmit. Countless times Brenda had to contact Revenue Canada because it took so long. It took much persistence by Brenda as we had long given up hope in getting any kind of refund. A little over year later we got a letter telling us we were approved and Melvin would get a refund for ten years.
Wow, this was good news. We didn’t know how much but any amount was a bonus. Then finally Brenda called us to say Melvin was getting around $10,000. She said we should do something special with the money and to let her know what we decide to do with it.
Now that we actually have the money, we made plans. Just a couple weeks ago we booked a family holiday to Mexico. I guess it was worth the wait.
Thank you ever so much for helping us with this task. We appreciate your persistence on our behalf. We know we would not have continued if it hadn’t been for you.
