As a long term diabetic (52+ years) I had never been made aware of the potential of a disability tax credit until I met Brenda. She suggested that she could help me qualify for this credit and described the critical components of making the application successful. I agreed to have Brenda complete the application process and submit it directly to CRA. Her estimate of the amount of the tax credit that I would receive was amazingly accurate and I was approved for the tax credit within a short time.  It was a quick turnaround which must be the result of all of Brenda’s research and expertise into how to make these applications successful. The tax credit has been put to good use and I am pleased to report that I have been approved for this tax credit for life because I am 60+.
Some of the money was used to pay for a ‘once in a lifetime’ trip to enjoy the beautiful golf courses in PEI.
Brenda is an excellent advocate for diabetics and I truly appreciate everything that she has done for me.
Dave,  learning each other was a T1D occurred in the most unusual of ways, as you know.  It is said that ‘it takes one to know one’  so working together on this was very easy.  Meeting up was a ‘meant to be’  for sure.
I know how much you love golfing.  I am pleased you used some of the money to do your favourite ‘fun’ thing.

I’ve been Diabetic for 37 years and met Brenda at the T1 Diabetic conference last year.  I never knew about the Disability Tax Credit and was a bit skeptical that I would get it.  I took her card and called a week later and that started the ball rolling.  She asked me to get my medical records proving I was diabetic for at least the last 10 years and she did the rest. I don’t think I would have the patience to do it myself.  A couple of months later I received a direct deposit from the government!

I’m buying a new guitar with the money and the rest will go to ongoing medical expenses from being diabetic and shots of ALA that should help with the neuropathy that I’ve acquired over the years.  I highly recommend Brenda.  She’s a hard worker and highly motivated to get you your money.

Thanks, Brenda!

Shawn,  thanks for your hard work to get your medical reports from Montreal.  I am glad it worked out for you.  Enjoy your new guitar!

After being told numerous times that I didn’t qualify for the disability benefit, I started to believe that type 1 diabetics were never going to qualify. My best friend put me in touch with Brenda (whom she had met through the hospital where she works).
Brenda made the entire application process seamless. I couldn’t be any happier with the success we had with the application and the money that I received.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for fighting for all of us to get the money that we deserve. I’m going to use part of my money to take a nice trip to Europe and then save the rest for my future.

Melissa,  it was such a pleasure working with you.  The trip to Portugal sounds awesome.  Glad I could help make that happen.

Wow! What a lady. She’s unstoppable and so skilled in delivering results. My experience with Brenda was so positive. She spent time talking to me on the phone and communicating back and forth until we had exactly everything we needed. I really appreciated her high attention to detail, leaving no stone unturned and no question unanswered.
The result was that I was approved within a few months and received a great refund. This would have never happened without Brenda. There’s no way I could have achieved that result on my own. Don’t give it a second thought, hire Brenda to do this for you! She’s worth it!

Sophie,  thank you for the compliments.  What a team we were as all this was done continents apart.    Hopefully, we will get to meet if you find yourself back in this neck of the woods.

I heard about Brenda and the CRM Blue Group at the Canadian Diabetes Association conference for people with Type 1 diabetes.  At that point, I had heard about the disability tax credit from my accountant, but was overwhelmed by the application process and had put it off for two years. When I followed up with Brenda, she responded quickly by email, set up a phone call to tell me about the process, and made every step quick and painless. I truly could not have done it without her.   I have been approved for the past three years and the next five! When I shared the application with my endocrinologist, he was wowed by Brenda’s attention to detail and has already recommended her to other patients. If you haven’t completed the process already, contact Brenda now!

Sue,  it is me that should be thanking you.  Dr. G. has been so supportive of my work.

I first met Brenda at the Type 1 Diabetes seminar in Toronto.  When I spoke to her,  Brenda gave me her card and told me to call her after listening to my story.  I was certainly not disappointed when I finally did.  Brenda made me feel like I was the only client she was dealing with.
Brenda worked with me to gather the information needed for the application.  She put everything together for my Dr. to review and sign.  She sends everything to the CRA and tracks it.  Then she called to let me know I was approved and then a second call to tell me the amount of my refund.

There is not a better person to work with on a DTC application.    You will not be disappointed if you decide to call Brenda and ask for assistance.

Mary-Frances,  we did hit a roadblock or two didn’t we?  I am so glad it worked out and you got the retroactive years you were hoping for.

I have been a Type 1 Diabetic since I was 18 months old.   I was given Brenda’s information from my nurse at Southlake Hospital and contacted her right away.  After a  great conversation with Brenda, she assured me she would be able to help.  I contacted Brenda in April of 2016 and I am a little bit of a procrastinator (which means a lot!)  I have never met someone with such patience that truly cares about everyone with this unfortunate disease.  Brenda guided me step by step which could not have taken more than a few hours total  My doctor actually wanted to hire Brenda after seeing how organized she is! I was approved 2 months after submitting the paperwork for the full amount. For all of us T1D’s,  Brenda is an angel sent from above!

Andrew,  thanks for giving me a laugh with your ‘procrastinator’ comments. Better late than never :-))  I’m so glad it worked out for you.

I was very fortunate to have been introduced to Brenda. I’ve been type 1 diabetic for 56 years and was never made aware, by anyone including my doctors or other diabetic educators, that I could apply for a disability tax credit.
Once Brenda and I connected,  there was no stopping her. She is a very dedicated and hardworking individual. We did it all via phone. She doesn’t miss a thing. She covers minute details that I would never have thought to include in my application.  My family doctor did not agree to sign my disability form but once he read Brenda’s detailed report,  he changed his mind and agreed to sign the report. He was not aware of all the time a diabetic spends in a day to care for this disease.  It was an eye-opener for him.
Brenda never gives up. She kept contacting the CRA  to see what work was being done on my claim. You gotta love her…. I remember her telling me that if I did not get approved by the CRA,  she would refund the upfront documentation fee would be returned to me 100%. It’s a win-win situation.
Well, my claim was accepted for life and a nice fat cheque was received from CRA!  Who doesn’t like receiving $$$ from them?  With this refund, I was able to have a beautiful flagstone pathway put in along with a reno of the front entrance stairs, again in stone, something I’ve always wanted.
I would not hesitate in recommending Brenda to assist any T1D’s in preparation of their Disability Tax Credit application.  She is an amazing, honest and such a hardworking individual.

Denise,  you have been such a cheerleader for me with other T1D’s you know.  I’m glad the $$ helped make a dream come true for you.
